Core issue: the workplace is a major contributor to the increasing rates of mental health issues worldwide.

According to the Mental Health Commission of Canada, 47% of working Canadians consider their work to be the most stressful part of daily life, and in any given week, 500,000 Canadians don’t go to work because of a mental health issues such as stress or anxiety. Currently, most existing workplace mental health programs focus on increasing awareness of mental health in the workplace and creating safe environments for individuals to seek treatment. While this is an essential first step to addressing mental health in the workplace, we must also focus on changing the work environment that is contributing to or causing the problems in the first place if we want to see sustainable improvements in workplace mental health. Cloud 9 to 5 does this by providing individuals with the tools necessary to build resilience against some of the most common triggers at work, and by providing managers with guidance and tools necessary to identify and reduce/eliminate some of those triggers in the first place, and by helping teams thrive by introducing techniques to encourage and nurture positive mental wellbeing in the workplace.
Impact: for organizations
Core issue: many organizations are not reaching their potential and maximizing their impact - both economically and socially – because of substandard workplace culture and employee experience.

Many companies these days are focused on improving employee satisfaction and engagement. While that's a step in the right direction, mounting evidence shows that improving workplace happiness - as opposed to satisfaction or engagement - has a significantly larger impact on a company's success. This success can be measured in terms of employee morale, innovation, burnout, productivity, use of resources, engagement, and motivation (among other things).
We help companies create happier work environments, and in doing so, they are able to tap into their full potential and maximize their impact. Through our “Pay It Forward” Program, Cloud 9 to 5 ensures that our expertise is accessible to all, regardless of an organization’s budget. For every paid client, we offer our services free of charge to a non-profit organization.

Here's how it works.
Every time your organization uses a Cloud 9 to 5 service, we pay it forward by providing a free training session to a deserving non profit organization, who would otherwise not be able to access our services. One for one. This way, non profits don't have to choose between their own happiness and the happiness of the people they're helping. Winner winner chicken dinner!
